The Young and The Restless Spoilers: Nate’ Career Is In Jeopardy As He Finds Out He Can No Longer Operate

The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) is in jeopardy, as he finds out he can no longer operate unless a special operation succeeds at restoring his hand to its previous functionality in an upcoming episode of The Young and The Restless!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nate Hastings Hears From His Doctor

Nate hears from his surgeon, Dr. Frasier (Manuel Rafael Lozano) about his tests. He sits at a table in Crimson Lights and hesitates to answer his phone, wondering if his tests will show there is any hope that his operating hand will be fully functional again. He listens to what Dr. Frasier says, and he is somewhat hopeful.

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Nate’s hand was injured when his cousin, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) had found out that Nate had sex with Devon’s girlfriend, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) in the New Hope clinic, where they worked together as well as in the Genoa City Hospital. Devon had attacked Nate in the Grand Phoenix ballroom where he was receiving an important award that night; he also kicked Elena out of his penthouse and broke up with her the same night.

She couldn’t deal with her guilt any longer over the tryst and had told her they were through and she had till the next evening to get all her things out of his penthouse. She found a home and an understanding roommate in Lola Rosales, (Sasha Calle) who invited her to move in with her. Lola understood Elena’s devastation but also her unexpected attraction to her boyfriend’s cousin and without judgment. She encouraged her to move on from Devon with Nate – but not before she was fully ready and was fully sure she wanted to move on with Nate.

Y&R Spoilers – Nate Hastings Heads To Lola Rosales And Elena Dawson’s Apartment To Tell Elena Dawson What Dr. Frasier Said

Nate heads over to Lola and Elena’s apartment to tell Elena what Dr. Frasier had told him when his tests came back. Lola says hello and then leaves, to give Nate and Elena some privacy. Nate tells Elena that there was damage to two different nerves in his hand, which is his dominant hand, the one he used to operate with. However, Nate said Dr. Frasier told him there is some hope.

There was an operation they could try to relieve the nerve damage and restore the functionality of his hand and Dr. Frasier thinks it might work. Nate said he was going to clear his schedule for the very next day to undergo the operation. It may not be a quick fix, and he would likely have to have physical therapy to be able to use his hand correctly again and regain his strength, but it’s his only hope if he is going to retain his surgical career.

Elena has told him before he is still a doctor, and even if he wasn’t able to be a surgeon he could choose a different specialty. Nate didn’t want to – unless there was just no other option. This is a chance – and it could go either way. It could work, and it could not work. But Nate wants to know if he can ever operate again, and this is the only way to find out!
