The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, January 6: Sharon’s Cover Story, Secret Mammogram Plans – Tessa’s Wild Reno Wedding Revealed

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, January 6, tease that some Genoa City residents will come clean while others keep secrets. At Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) apartment, Tessa wants to explain her marriage to Tanner Watts (Chase Colemand). She’s sorry for not telling Mariah right away and knows there’s no excuse, but she freaked out after Tanner contacted her. Tessa was afraid there was some issue with the divorce.

Mariah learns the story of how Tessa and Tanner connected over following the same dream. She sang backup for Tanner on the dive bar circuit. They’d both been beat up by life, so they could relate to each other. One night in Reno, they were drunk and married in an all-night chapel.

Mariah wonders why they didn’t have it annulled, but Tessa suggests they knew it was crazy and were just having fun. Once the fun was over, they ended things mutually. Tessa makes it clear that she wasn’t in love with Tanner. Mariah’s upset that Tessa’s default position is still to lie.

Tessa gets emotional as she insists Tanner meant nothing, but Mariah means everything. She wants Mariah to tell her that love is enough. Mariah feels like Tessa should’ve confessed as soon as Tanner reached out. She has to think, so she heads out. Tessa’s alone when Tanner shows up at the door later and asks if it’s a bad time.

At Crimson Lights, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) brushes Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) worries off when he thinks she’s acting nervous. She claims she’s got some stuff to deal with on her own and lies about an appointment with the coffee man.

Y&R Spoilers – Sharon Has A Lot To Think About

After Sharon’s gone, Rey comes looking for her again and eventually faces more deception. When Sharon meets back up with Rey, he’s curious about how the coffee guy meeting went. Sharon hints that there’s much to think about and agrees to an early lunch with Rey. She steps in the backroom for a breather as she processes her secret doctor’s appointment.

Once Rey gets called into work, Sharon calls about scheduling a mammogram and ultrasound. She’s surprised when Mariah arrives looking choked up. Sharon confirms she’s got time to talk, so they sit down on the patio. Mariah’s afraid that everything is going to change.

In Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) office, she talks to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about her Singapore trip and COO search. Nick doesn’t want the position, but he has news to share. After Nick explains that he split from Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), Victoria suggests he could tell their mom and dad for him.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) appears, so Nick lets her know his relationship with Chelsea is over. They discuss how Adam factors in before Nick suggests the breakup was inevitable. Nikki’s hopeful for Nick’s future, but she asks that he please stay away from Sharon. Nick’s amused since Sharon thought Nikki would say that.

Meanwhile, Adam talks to Chelsea about how she’ll be living at the penthouse for good along with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). They fill Connor in on Chelsea staying there and just being friends with Nick. Connor’s excited about being a real family again and cries joyful tears.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Adam Is Worried This Is His Last Shot

Afterward, Adam gets in touch with a child therapist that Sharon told him about. He disconnects and has a deep conversation with Chelsea. She’s amazed by Adam’s determination and love for Connor, but she’s terrified when she’s on the receiving end of that love. Adam acknowledges that he can be intense, but he wants to prove himself. He doesn’t feel entitled to anything and intends to do this right.

However, Adam admits he’s worried since this is his last shot. He doesn’t want to let this chance with Chelsea slip through his fingers. Chelsea still needs time, but The Young and the Restless spoilers say “Chadam” will officially reunite – and make love – later in the week.
