The Young and the Restless spoilers document that in Genoa City, Wisconsin Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) didn’t see this problem coming. Accusations, with increasing evidence, make it look like he was the person who was trying to shoot Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but hit Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) instead.

Whoever the real shooter was either planning to frame Billy as part of the plot, or is doing so now. Candidates in this regard are speculative, which has long been part of daytime.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Las Vegas Link Established

A key plot point developed this fall, but was intriguingly glossed over. As hardcore viewers recall, Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) left Genoa City, Wisconsin, while she was still pursuing information for Billy.

Viewers were told that Alyssa made contact with the widow of the man Adam accidentally killed in Las Vegas, Nevada. Until that point, it was believed that this still unseen woman didn’t know that her husband was dead. Adam was paying this person a monthly stipend as part of a ruse where he said that her husband was in the Witness Protection Program.

This circumstantial tidbit is worth considering, as this to-be-introduced character could easily be the shooter.

Y&R Spoilers – Who Wanted To Get Adam Newman?

There’s no doubt that Alyssa has it in for Adam. She was horrified to learn that her father was killed by a Newman, rather than having died in a barn fall, as she and her family believed since A.J. Montalvo’s (Marcus DeAnda) death.

Alyssa was initially convinced that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was the killer. But a series of events revealed that Adam (as played by Dane West in a retrospective role), who was eleven at the time, had actually pushed A.J. away from his mother, Hope Wilson (as played by Maggie Gwin in a retrospective role), in an act of defense. A.J. fell in the dining room at the farm and died, with Victor being called and subsequently covering up what happened through the present day.

So, the widow and Alyssa are two people who were tied in recent months to the current storyline. But how would that link to Billy?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – The Most Likely Suspect

Alyssa learned, through her association with Billy, that he loathed Adam. The Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) arc made Thompson’s character the easiest patsy.

Having Alyssa be the shooter, and he framer works on many levels, based on her motivation, means, and opportunity. As a side character, she can also be easily written out.

However, it would be even easier to write in the widow and have her be revealed as the shooter and the framer. The oddness of that person seemingly never appearing on-screen to-date is also suspicious.
