So far she has had treatment and remains on track in her recovery. But things are not guaranteed for her. Soap Opera Digest is revealing that Sharon has a significant issue yet to come—will it be an unexpected downturn that suddenly threatens her life?

Throughout her struggle, she has had her family and friends beside her and no doubt they have made a huge difference in her fight. Her significant other, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) has never wavered. Her kids have rallied around her in her darkest days.
But cancer is not predictable. And while the battle is over, the war has not yet been won.
How will this ordeal affect Sharon and Rey? The relationship is beginning to show signs of wear and it has to do with her ex.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – How Will Adam Newman Play Into Sharon Newman’s Cancer Storyline?
We will have to wait and see what becomes The Young and The Restless Sharon’s most challenging obstacle yet in her cancer battle. It is not impossible that her fight is complicated by her unpopular decision to team up with her ex, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as he fights an ugly battle of his own.
She is straining her health, according to her loved ones, by going out on a limb to help him deal with a tremendous psychological emergency. She will cross state lines to help him as he tries to retrieve repressed memories of a killing he committed as a child.
Rey has given his blessing for Sharon’s participation, but he is leery. And he should be because Adam is a shark and has he ever really gotten over Sharon?

Will Sharon’s helping Adam kill Shey? It could, either by Rey getting fed up or by Shadam reuniting. The question is, how will this affect her health?
