Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) dropped Alyssa Montalvo’s (Maria DiDomenico) name on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He did so on purpose after arriving at the Ranch.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) were present when Adam told his father about Hope Wilson’s (Signy Coleman) Kansas ranch needing repairs. Then he asked Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) if he remembered Alyssa or her family.

The ‘Moustache’ didn’t respond. However, Adam later told Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) that he saw a flicker of recognition in Victor’s eyes when that last name was referenced.

Adam is looking to fight with his dad again. His mother would not be pleased. But Hope’s been gone for years, as hardcore fans recall and newer fans have learned.

Coleman’s character wanted her son to know that Victor was his biological father. Adam (as then played by Chris Engen, who was the first SORAS’d version of this character) was stunned but eventually came to live in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

The Adam character came to dominate attention during the 2010s. The latest recast happened last year, with Grossman’s edition of Adam renewing the dysfunctional relationship he has with Victor. Along with that, in the spring of 2020, comes a new curiosity about the role Victor may have played in the death of A.J. Montalvo (an as yet uncast part for this presumed, deceased character).

Hope didn’t attend A.J.’s funeral. So something likely compelled her to avoid going to that service in the tight-night farming community.

What if Victor actually played the hero in Kansas all those years ago?

Possibly, Alyssa’s purported loan shark father was in the wrong and caused his own demise. If not that, maybe he was involved in something dangerous, or simply died in a barn fall as is believed.

Adam’s counting on Victor having yet another chip in his veneer. While ‘Vic’s’ (Alyssa’s nickname for Adam when they were young) feelings are understandable, he’d better be careful.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Then Again, This Is Victor Newman

Victor arrived at Hope’s farm in Kansas and defended her honor. That led to their friendship, romance, wedding, and Adam’s birth.

A.J.’s death happened sometime after Hope split from Victor and returned to the farm with Adam. But Victor is now believed to have been present during that undefined place in the enhanced plot.

It’s reasonable to believe that A.J., or his associates, could have put Hope and, or Adam in harm’s way. Victor naturally would have defended them himself or could have been part of an effort to do so with others.

Adam is choosing to believe that there’s dirt to dig, as his visit to the Ranch was purposeful. Time will tell if Victor is guilty of a crime and how that will be used by Adam.
