The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Adam Makes Important Confession – New Future With Victor Possible?

CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) admission to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) was important. He admitted that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was protecting him now and through the years. This realization caused Adam to begin reevaluating every interaction he had with his father.

The likelihood of lasting truce between these two particular men is questionable. They not only share blood but have similar personality types. However, it’s reasonable to believe that Y&R is in the process of developing the dynamic between these long-standing rivals, which could allow Adam’s relationship with Victor to resemble semblances of what his three siblings have with their father.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – No One Knows What Happened In Kansas

Intriguingly, Y&R hasn’t provided fully conclusive proof of what happened in Kansas. Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) didn’t know what actually took place. Victor was in Genoa City, Wisconsin, at the time. He arrived later and presumably worked with the farm’s caretaker to shield the then eleven-year-old Adam from having to face any consequences.

Victor’s concern about Adam potentially being taken away from Hope by the state was real. So, it’s plausible, if not certain that Victor is telling the truth. As for the caretaker, his support of Victor’s version of events also seems to make sense.

But the fact that Y&R didn’t create a retrospective sequence, where a childhood version of Adam is actually shown pushing A.J. Montalvo (no actor’s name known for this role) from the barn loft, leaves unanswered questions that can be revisited someday.

Let’s assume that Victor protected Adam, just as he said. Also, choose to believe that Adam was defending his mother from the loan shark and that no other people or outstanding circumstances were involved.

With the above taken as the truth, Adam’s feelings for his father would naturally shift. Sure, there would be an extended period of leeriness between them. But Adam could become the favored son that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) last saw in the late 2000s when Chris Engen (Adam) became the first adult recast of this character.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Vickie Newman Asserts Power

The moves Vickie is making indicate that she may feel what’s coming. She isn’t just angry that her father temporarily booted her out of the Chief Executive Officer’s spot at Newman Enterprises. Vickie may also sense that Victor will eventually try and supplant her with Adam again, or make them co-equals.

Vickie is acting as her father often has. She’s using her power and doesn’t care what other people think.

Victor may have gained an unexpected ally in a new fight with his daughter, instead of continuing the war against his once wayward son.
