Adam recently decided to resurrect “Dark Horse”, a business that Nick Newman actually had founded to compete with Newman Enterprises after getting sick of their father’s machinations and schemes. Longtime viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Nick actually committed sabotage, disguised as JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) to give Dark Horse an edge in the competition.

He even stole some of his father’s employees away to work for Dark Horse, and some of the Abbotts as well. Much later, Adam, with Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) help, hacked into Dark Horse’s servers, and stole it from Nick, after which Adam had appointed Phyllis as the new CEO of Dark Horse. However, it’s been inactive for quite a while since Phyllis divested its assets and Adam decided to resurrect it.

Nick knew that Adam was the one who bought out Dark Horse because Adam told him he did – but Adam used it like blackmail to try and get custody of Christian Newman (Alex Wilson)!

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that the custody battle over Christian got rather ugly, but then Chelsea Boudreaux (Melissa Claire Egan) came back to town, quickly widowed when her husband dropped dead in her hotel room, and eventually Adam’s other son with her, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) came back also and having contact with Connor seemed to solve the problem of his trying to reclaim Christian, but Nick ultimately was out of his company, and more recently out of relationship with Chelsea, who has now reunited with Adam.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Will The Subject Of Adam Newman Resurrecting Dark Horse On Top Of Nick Newman And Chelsea Boudreaux’s Breakup Start A Fight Between The Two?

Adam, Chelsea, and Connor recently took a trip to Paris, France but will return in time for the Newman gala. It’s a good chance that Adam might brag about resurrecting Dark Horse, and considering it has only been a month or so since his breakup with Chelsea, Nick might not be in the mood to hear that and the two might get into a fierce argument!

Nick also has his ex-wife Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) on his mind who is suffering from breast cancer – and whom Nick and Adam had also been romantic rivals over – Sharon was married to both brothers – and he is liable to have a very short fuse these days!

If Adam starts bragging about reviving Dark Horse at the gala while strutting Chelsea around conspicuously, it might well set Nick off, and no one could really blame him with all the problems that Adam’s buying it out caused to begin with!
