Theo Vanderway Was At Society Commiserating To Mariah Copeland About Being Fired From Jabot

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall from an episode last week that Theo was at Society, commiserating to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) about his firing from Jabot, and he had called Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) also but had to leave a message – he was rather disheartened, having been fired on his birthday and needed a shoulder. She had to rush to Miami about an issue with her new restaurant that was being built and was still there. Theo and Mariah sit and talk at the bar and he expresses concern for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) having recalled Lola was worried about her and her brother Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) as well, and talks to her about having been set up by Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about being set up with a pitch he had plagiarized that turned out to be one of Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman from around fifteen years ago.

Mariah tells him Sharon will be okay, and they bond a little bit over their common experiences of having been needed to help mothers who were seriously ill, and he tells her he is sure that Sharon is glad to have Mariah close. Mariah asks him why he didn’t come up with his own pitch although she understood it was unnerving to compete against Kyle under Jack and feels that he’ll find something a better fit for him. She wishes him luck with his job hunting, having a relating point with him there as well, with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) shutting down his company she was employed with as well about two months ago. Meanwhile, Theo overhears part of a conversation that catches his ear at a table not too far away from the bar.

Billy Abbott, Amanda Sinclair, And Lily Winters Are Having A Business Meeting At Society

Meanwhile, Billy Abbott, (Jason Thompson) Amanda Sinclair, (Mishael Morgan) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) are having a business meeting at Society. They talk about various plans for Chancellor Media, one topic being Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) having been asked to head up the fiction department, which was Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) idea – Traci had not quite decided whether to take the position or not at this point. Amanda worries about Traci working there with Billy there. Billy and Lily reassure her everything will be fine and Traci will likely have her own office.

They also talk about the social media department being set up and Lily mentions what they discussed earlier in the office about needing at least one influencer, Billy having agreed that much of marketing in the modern age is done with social media and social media influencers, especially among the younger demographic, and as Billy talks about bringing in that younger demographic it catches Theo’s ear and he smiles. Lily walks off to take a call and Theo continues to listen to Amanda and Billy discuss getting ahead of trends. Theo knows this is the perfect job for him and the perfect opportunity; he will head over and pitch himself as the perfect person for this job, but question is, will he strike the iron too quickly and ruin his chances, or will he be able to make such an impression on Billy, Lily, and Amanda, that they will take his pitch to Jill to put the department and head influencer in place?
