The Young and the Restless News: Elizabeth Hendrickson Checks Into Hospital For Induced Labor

The “Young and the Restless” star Elizabeth Hendrickson shared on social media that they’ve decided to have her check in to the hospital. She’s already passed her due date and she’ll be having her labor induced at the hospital.

In an Instagram post, the actress shared a photo of the nursery. In the caption, Hendrickson said that it’ll be the last time she’ll see the room empty.

“We just checked into the hospital. We’ve decided to induce labor with everything moving so rapidly. We felt it was safest to get her here safely before Rob wasn’t allowed in the delivery room like they’re doing in San Fran and NY,” the actress shared.

She Knows She’s In Good Hands

“20 mins before we walked into the hospital the midwives were notified that after delivery only the mother is allowed with the baby postpartum. Rob has to leave. We are heartbroken but we also feel like I’m in incredible hands,” she continued.

“I really can’t imagine doing this alone. I brought my ukulele to keep myself busy, music is playing, my lavender diffuser is brewing and I’m just keeping my eye on the prize. A gorgeous baby girl to be in our arms as safely and quickly as possible,” she added.

Hendrickson is confident that she’s in good hands, with her midwife Didi and nurse Andra. She’s also positive that she’ll get all the support she needs from everybody in the maternity ward. She sent her love and support to all the mothers who have no choice but to be separated from their partners during their delivery.

Hendrickson Announces Pregnancy

It was back in October 2019 when the actress announced that she’s expecting her first child with her husband, Rob Meder. She also revealed at that time that they were expecting a baby girl.

In February 2020, Hendrickson had her baby shower and many of her “The Young and the Restless” costars attended the celebration. And a few days ago, the actress shared the challenges that she faced while expecting to give birth amid the coronavirus crisis.

Despite the anxiety, the actress and her husband are extremely excited to meet their daughter.

“I know we will get through this…I can’t wait to meet [my daughter] and see what she looks like. Sing to her and rock her to sleep. We are ready for her arrival,” the actress said.

“We’ve been waiting a long time for this…To anyone else that is dealing with this, I’m here for you…I plan to reach out as much as possible over social for advice, help or just some good ol’ humor !!” she continued.
