That’s because the actor believes he’s working with some of the best in the daytime industry while on the set of the hit CBS soap. Speaking to Soaps in Depth in a new interview, the actor said that while he spent his childhood playing sports, hanging out with friends and of course, focusing on his schoolwork, he admits that you couldn’t walk inside a grocery store and not notice the soap magazines with the faces of The Young and the Restless stars on them. Now that he’s on the show himself, he can’t believe that he’s sharing scenes with some of the biggest legends of the daytime television industry.

The actor puts it this way, “The other day, I was in the middle of a scene with Eric Braeden and Peter Bergman. It was surreal and informative. You can’t help but learn from them. From the start, Peter welcomed me to the show, put his arm around me, and goes, ‘All right, here are my rules of the show,’ and he walks you thought. He is so inviting and accepting! I love to learn new things. It’s one of my greatest passions, besides acting. And how can you not learn from these guys?”

Needless to say, Donny will have more opportunities to learn from the greatest when production of The Young and the Restless resumes after the coronavirus stay-at-home orders have been lifted in the state of California. Until then, fans will just have to wait and see what happens next.
