The Young And The Restless Comings and Goings: Meet The Newcomer In Genoa City, Madison Thompson

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that if she looks familiar, that’s because you have most likely seen her while binge-watching some of your favorite shows this past year. Newcomer Madison Thompson might be joining the cast of Y&R, but she’s no stranger to the television world.

Before joining the hit CBS soap in a short-term role as Jordan, Madison played 17-year-old Erin on the Netflix hit, Ozark. And according to the blonde beauty, she is so excited to be playing in her first daytime television role. Here’s what she has to say.

The Young And The Restless Comings and Goings

In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Madison says that while Y&R producers were impressed with her work on Ozark, she still had to send in an audition tape in order to be considered for the role. She points out that just because you are doing well on one show, that doesn’t mean an actor will do well on another.

Madison recalled the publication, “There were a couple of other people they were considering, so they sent me mock sides but I had no idea my character had anything to do with Faith Newman. Jordan is a bit of a troublemaker, so I taped two different take-ups for Y&R, one a little more sinister than the other and they liked the sinister version.”

What’s more, Madison says that her Y&R character Jordan has a lot of similarities with her Ozark character, Erin. That’s because they are both trying to figure out who they are and with that comes a lot of curiosity and of course, trouble. Madison explained, “Jordan has her faults and unfortunately, Faith Newman [Alyvia Alynn Lind) looks up to her and follows Jordan’s lead, which is being a little rebellious.”
