CBS The Young and the Restless spoiler news for the week of December 28, 2020, reveals that there is double the delight coming to Genoa City, Wisconsin as two alums return for what should be a very eventful wedding. Soap weddings are full of surprises and twists and turns, so why should the Shey wedding be any different?
Last week Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) got a bit reflective when talking to his sister Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) about tying the knot again. We wouldn’t exactly say he had cold feet, but he is probably right to be cautious given his spotty track record.
Two members of the lively Rosales family will come back to Genoa City for the nuptials of Rey and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). The big event takes place on New Year’s Eve and when it does Rey’s mother Celeste Rosales (Eva La Rue) will be there as well his lusty brother Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela).
Look for the two returning family members to appear on Wednesday, December 30.
Fans last saw daytime diva La Rue on the show in August of 2019, along with Canela. That occasion was the nuptials of Lola and Kyle Abbot (Michael Mealor). Uh oh. That union is already kaput, let’s hope Celeste and Arturo aren’t bad omens!
Actually Lola and Kyle appeared doomed for the start, kind of like Sharon and Rey. Did we just say that?
Has Sharon ever gotten over bad boy Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) or for that matter the father of her children Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)? Just saying.
We have another juicy bit of casting news to spill, Melissa Claire Egan’s (Chelsea Newman) real-life husband also appears this week.
Look for Matt Katrosar, who played Chelsea’s masked abductor in November, to play a paramedic on Thursday, December 31.
Apparently the paramedic has to respond to a crisis at Adam’s (Mark Grossman) penthouse which may very well involve Chelsea. She has been seriously unwell as of late, and it would make a lot of sense to cast her husband if the characters have to interact at close range, given COVID precautions.
