The Bold and the Beautiful star Katrina Bowden’s character Flo Fulton might have an icy relationship with her mother Shauna, but that’s not the case for the actress and her own real life mother, Karen. In fact, the two of them have a very special bond that is full of hikes, glasses of wine, and special walks on the beach. Here’s what she has to say!

Speaking to Soaps in Depth in a new interview, the blonde beauty says she feels as though she won the lottery when it comes to having a ‘cool mom’ like her mother Karen. That’s because, in Katrina’s words, she’s “sassy fun and the life of the party.”

Even though Karen still lives on the East Coast and Katrina lives full-time in Los Angeles, the Bowden girls get together as often as they can. And when they do, it’s nothing but great fun, a lot of girl talk and plenty of wonderful mommy and daughter memories made along the way.

Katrina explains, “We will go on hikes together and can just talk for hours. I love going out for a glass of wine with her, too. She makes everyone around her instantly feel happy. We both love to narrate our dogs’ internal thoughts and when we are together, it just turns into a massive, dopey-voiced narration of what all the dogs around us are thinking.”

Katrina added that her mother Karen has been the one person in the world who has always supported her and has always been her biggest cheerleader throughout the years. She adds that there isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her and that one day she hopes to be the same kind of mother that her mom Karen is to her future children. We have a feeling that might happen seeing how the two of them are so alike and better yet, so close!
