The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for Thursday, January 2, tease that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) will get a surprise that will leave her feeling a bit unsettled. As B&B viewers know, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is still pining over Hope. He has recently moved on romantically with Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes), but that’s just a ploy to make Hope think that he’s no longer obsessed with her.

Thomas wants desperately to continue working with Hope on her Hope For The Future line at Forrester Creations, and he knows that the only way he can continue to work with her is to pretend to be with someone else, otherwise Hope won’t trust him.

The Bold & The Beautiful Spoilers – Thomas Forrester Has A Big Surprise For Hope Logan

Well, on Thursday’s B&B episode, Thomas will surprise Hope in some fashion. Of course, B&B viewers know that Thomas made sure that Hope would stop by the Forrester mansion on Christmas, under the guise of coming to see Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) on the holiday. It looks like he’ll give Hope something – perhaps a Christmas present – and it will leave Hope unnerved.

Whatever the case, it appears that the surprise may leave Hope wondering about whether Thomas has really moved on with Zoe. But knowing Thomas, he’ll have some explanation to smooth things over, and Hope will be left feeling awkward about the whole thing.

B&B Spoilers – Ridge Forrester Gets A Glimmer Of Hope For His Marriage

Meanwhile, on Thursday’s new episode of B&B, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will be feeling hopeful. It looks like he’ll get an eyeful of Thomas and Zoe at the Forrester Christmas celebration, and he’ll be truly convinced that Thomas is making positive changes in his life and has moved on from obsessing over Hope.

And that will give Ridge an idea. As B&B viewers know, he’s currently estranged from Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and the two have even gone so far as to sign divorce papers. However, Ridge hasn’t filed the divorce papers because he still wants to try to make the marriage work.

Of course, the big problem that Ridge and Brooke have been having is that they can’t agree on the issue of Thomas. Brooke thinks that Thomas is “sick” and unstable, and that he needs intensive psychotherapy. She wants Ridge to admit that Thomas is psychopathic and dangerous, and Ridge just won’t do it.

From Ridge’s perspective, Thomas is making real efforts to become a better person, and while he’s made mistakes, he’s doing his best to change. It seems that Ridge will get more hopeful as he watches Thomas and Zoe interact and get along well at the Forrester Christmas dinner. As B&B viewers know, Thomas and Zoe recently made love and they’re moving forward as a couple.

The Bold & The Beautiful Spoilers – Ridge Forrester Begs Brooke Forrester To Forgive His Son

And that will give Ridge the notion that perhaps his marriage can be salvaged. It looks like he’ll go to Brooke and insist that Thomas has moved on from his obsession with Hope, and that Brooke should find it in her heart to get past her animosity toward Thomas so they can save their union.

But of course, Brooke knows something that Ridge doesn’t know, and that’s that Zoe is currently working as a spy for Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), in order to find out what Thomas is up to regarding Hope. Ridge won’t realize that Zoe is part of a plot, and that there’s a good chance that Thomas’ whole relationship with Zoe is just a ruse to make him believe that Thomas is over Hope.

So when Ridge comes to Brooke and insists that Thomas has moved on and is happily with Zoe now, Brooke will almost certainly still be skeptical. She’s probably not going to just suddenly forgive Thomas and agree to repair her marriage to Ridge just like that. So, Ridge will likely end up frustrated when his efforts to reconcile don’t have the desired results.
