The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that in Los Angeles Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) has the power to change what appears to be an inevitable disaster. Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) now believes a plastic mannequin, which was created for the Hope For The Future line, is speaking directly to him.

B&B’s developing horror-thriller movie storyline has Thomas suffering from some type of health issue that is driving his break from reality. This arc is different than those that Atkinson has played in the past, with Thomas evidencing signs that he has an illness, disease, brain-related issue, or some other type of malady that is serving to spark hallucinations.

Thomas has verbally and physically fought Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). But he never considered eliminating Clifton’s character from the earth, as the Hope doll ordered Thomas to do.

Even Thomas knows that what’s happening to him isn’t right. That’s why he’s been waging an internal battle. But it’s obvious that he’s not capable of preventing himself from descending further into darkness.

Liam is not about to remain silent when his family and others are in danger. He has long been onto Thomas’ schemes. While Liam doesn’t yet know exactly what’s wrong with his rival, he recognizes that something is seriously off.

Thankfully B&B wrote Doctor John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) into the script. His medical background and personal connection to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) allows him to remain directly involved in this developing plot.

Liam’s tell to Hope and Steffy about the mannequin being in Thomas’ apartment was key to pushing the plot. Doing so allowed Hope to confirm what Liam was saying and enables her to form measured opinions that can dramatically impact what comes next.

Since Thomas appears to be overwhelmed by the mannequin’s pressured statements, he’ll likely try to take action shortly. The power of Hope’s in-person presence is the one factor that can override the haze that exists in Thomas’ mind.

Hardcore fans know that Rick Forrester (as most recently played by Jacob Young), was nearly a tragic victim of Thomas’ unchecked behavior in the past. More recently, Emma Barber (Nia Sioux) was tailgated to her death by Atkinson’s character, though Thomas told Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that wasn’t his intention.

So, the target that Thomas, via the Hope doll, has put on Liam’s back is real. And Hope is a leading character candidate that can arrive at, or prior to a climax, potentially saving the day.
