The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Tanner Novlan On Cause Of Steffy’s Addiction – And It’s Not The Accident

CBS The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that the motorcycle accident might not be the pain that is propelling Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) addiction. Actor Tanner Novlan, who plays Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan hinted to TV Soap magazine that it’s the extensive Forrester family problems and romantic disappointments that is causing her so much pain.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Forrester Family Problems

B&B spoilers reveal that the Forrester family has had its share of problems and stress. Everything from Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) antics to losing “PhoeBeth” and even family members nearly dying after being pushed off cliffs and knocked into acid vats. Even though Steffy has always powered through, these things do have an effect on a person.

Then, there is the issue with the men in Steffy’s life. The fling with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and the repeated waffling of Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). Steffy really loved Liam and even though she said that he belonged with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), it was a weight on her shoulders. She has never really grieved that relationship and has tried to act like everything is just fine. However, maybe losing Liam bothered Steffy more than she was letting on.

Novlan explained to the Australian magazine TV Soap that there are many different kinds of pain. He said,

“Yes, I think he was analyzing [sic] that and it all plays a part in Steffy’s story. There are many different types of pain, not just physical. The medicine that Steffy has been taking relieves all types of pain under one umbrella and that’s the danger of it.”

Now, this isn’t saying that she isn’t in physical pain from her motorcycle accident. But perhaps Steffy is becoming addicted not to deal with the physical pain, but to numb the emotional anguish she feels after losing “PhoeBeth” and Liam to Hope.

B&B Spoilers – What’s Next?

This week, Hope will make some decisions regarding Steffy’s daughter, Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray). This won’t sit well with Steffy and she lashes out in anger. She will accuse Hope of trying to steal another one of her children. So, it’s clear that she still had a lot of anger about losing her adopted daughter to Hope.

However, Finn is going to help her deal with all of that emotional trauma. As a result, the two are going to get even closer and form a strong bond.
