In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who plays Steffy on the hit CBS soap, says that Steffy is getting more and more desperate and that her life is spiraling out of control. She said, “She didn’t want to keep taking these pills. She really believed she would get over it but the pain isn’t going away, and she really needs to be there for her daughter.”

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that after Dr. Finn (Tanner Novlan) denies Steffy her new prescription, she reaches a breaking point. Even though Steffy knows that Finn has been there for her, both professionally and personally, she tries to take this to her own advantage. After all, she is desperate to get the pain relief that she needs.

Jacqueline continues, “She doesn’t see why she can’t get one more refill. Obviously, Finn knows that it is highly addictive and that Steffy should step down to over the counter meds. However, she doesn’t feel that with these house call visits and the extra attention that he’s giving her that she can try to get those pills any way that she can.”

That’s when Steffy tries to play the sympathy card and tells Finn all about her devastating loss with Baby Phoebe and of course, her life story. As she does this, Steffy realizes that her life is slipping through the cracks. Now, whether or not Finn helps Steffy, or at least helps her find her new normal, remains to be seen.
