Viewers appreciated the well-crafted scene, which incorporated special effects to mark that moment as the beginning of a new B&B couple. Steffy, Finn, and the audience were moved.
Sometimes the pain is needed to break out of an emotional rut. In this instance, Steffy had to endure Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) hitting her on a city street in broad daylight. Her rush to the hospital and Dr. Finn’s diagnosis confirmed internal injuries that included broken ribs, that’s made breathing and movement particularly excruciating.
No head trauma and a thankful lack of no other potentially life-threatening injuries meant that a full recovery was predicted. But the path back to good health has become the type of challenge Steffy has no experience confronting.
This dramatic event forced Steffy to turn her focus away from business interests, which have been positive and lingering Steam’s feelings, which have been harmful to her psyche and soul.
Yes, Finn’s backstory will need to be fleshed out beyond his nickname and bits of dialogue that barely touch on what his life has been to-date. But the groundwork is being laid that fully links his present to Steffy’s and winks at their potential future together.
Steffy’s interaction with John is different than the dynamic she has with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). She’s still in love with Liam, to a certain degree. But he isn’t able to reciprocate because of his choice to embrace another Lope era.
Finn offers Steffy, someone, to lean on at a moment in her life where she can’t be the strong one. And, this character isn’t expecting her to pull herself out of the situation, as some others seem to due to their personal history with her. Finn is playing the healer, which Steffy appreciates.
Finn has to be Steffy’s destiny, right?
Destiny is a subjective noun. In this B&B storyline, it could mean that Steffy and Finn only share some romantic moments, but never form a true relationship. It’s also possible that they might be on the verge of engagement by Christmas.
By this time next year, Steffy could be married to Finn and have had his baby. Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Colette Gray) could have a sister, a brother, or even twin siblings.
While nothing is destined in the daytime, this particular tale has been pres
ented nicely in its early stages and projects as a probable keeper.
