The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that in Los Angeles Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) shocking reconnection is being loudly applauded by Steam fans. But other viewers can’t believe what’s happening and what this stunning development projects.

B&B went to great pains to develop a scenario where Steffy had her second major motorcycle accident. That was followed by major surgery and the start of a pain-killer addiction.

Thankfully John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) was invented as a new character. He saved Steffy in the hospital and helped her to turn away from the substances she was relying on. To think that the most feel-good coupling on the show might have been dashed by yet another Steam rebound is quite simply incredible, except to those devoted supporters who believe that Steffy and Liam belong together.

Finn was established as the anti-Liam. The doctor is logical, where Liam is impulsive. Finn doesn’t rely on his subjective emotions to value-grade a never-ending series of situations.

Novlan’s character identified Liam as someone who was still stuck on defending Steffy, even though she seemed to have clearly moved on from him. But that classic Steam photo still hangs prominently on her living room wall at the cliff house, so maybe Finn misinterpreted her perspective?

Liam is Kelly Spencer’s (Avalon and Colette Gray) father, which means that he should be part of Steffy’s life. But Liam hasn’t been committed to Steffy for years and made his romantic choice awhile back. Finn never took his eyes off Steffy since the moment he met her.

B&B Spoilers – Speaking In Favor Of Steam

Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) loves Liam. So no one can blame her for breaking their vows. Yet, that’s what Liam now believes she did.

The brilliantly crafted sequence, where Liam thought he saw Thomas kissing Hope, provoked the Steam reconnect at the cliff house. Shame on him for allowing that to happen.

As for Steffy, she should have known better as well, but may simply have been reconfirming who her true love really is. Sorry, Finn.

Daytime is about momentary bliss, rather than extended periods of tranquility. The standard belief is that major conflict draws viewers’ interest, with the pursuit of resolutions holding the bulk of the audience as each storyline plays out.

Thomas’ hospitalization and likely recovery will dominant coming episodes. But Liam’s pompous certainty and Steffy’s guilt about what happened create the very real possibility that Lope and Sinn are on shaky ground.
