B&B spoilers reveal that this is not the first time that Ridge has been forced to compete with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). While everyone has a past, Brooke is still very much in Bill’s orbit and vice versa. In Ridge’s mind, it wasn’t just a kiss that made him walk away — it was who Brooke kissed and that this is a recurring theme in their relationship.

To put it simply, Ridge is tired of having to compete with Brooke’s past, especially when it’s with the same guy.

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, actor Thorsten Kaye explained that Ridge’s decision is driven by the fact that Bill has always been an issue. He realized after the “Brill” exposure that it hasn’t changed, and it probably never will. Bill will always be hanging over their romantic heads.

“This is always going to be here, it’s always going to be them… Even with all of those people, it’s still a private moment and a private realization for Ridge that this is never going to get better. Whatever this guy has, she can’t stay away from him.”

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Bill tried explaining to Ridge what happened. However, he also had to stick it to Ridge that Brooke wasn’t being listened to and acknowledged by her own husband. This is what led Brooke to confide in another man, which just happened to be the one person that Ridge hates.

Ridge wants to be the only person that Brooke turns to with her troubles. Even though “Bridge” was going through rocky times, he still wanted to be the only man she ran to. Instead, she ran right to her ex and that doesn’t sit well with Ridge.

This is an issue that has been bubbling under the surface for a long time and all the “Brill” kiss did was make Ridge realize that Bill will never go away. Brooke will always find some reason to turn to him.
