The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that in Los Angeles Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) had a sense something unusual happened between Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). Steam has quite a history and a father’s intuition is often on the mark.

The drama that was taking place at the hospital, where each character was drawn, didn’t allow a normal conversation flow to occur. But there was an awkward feel in the air and Ridge didn’t like it.

Ridge knows that Liam has repeatedly hurt Steffy through constant waffling across the years. Enjoying the benefit of being loved passionately by two great ladies, Liam has long taken it for granted than Steffy and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) would always be connected to his life.

Liam doesn’t believe, or at least doesn’t appear to think, that Steffy, Hope, or both could cut him off for good. Part of that perception is connected to the fact that he has daughters with both women. But he also takes Steffy and Hope’s feelings for him for granted, even if Liam isn’t aware he’s doing that.

John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) rationalized the Steam photo that screams from the wall at the cliff house. It’s rather direct to have a photo of oneself with an ex, yet Steffy is good with it.

Steffy has often stated that the photo doesn’t represent a longing to be with Liam, as she’s realized his marriage to Hope takes precedence. But that image is more than a reminder for toddler Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Colette Gray) about how happy her parents once were.

Hope Spencer Crushed And Uplifted

B&B often maximizes drama through the manner in which it leads into storyline climaxes. Projecting Hope’s increased bond with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) isn’t a stretch, based on what’s been revealed about his health. But it’s fair to wonder if the writing staff will have Hope learn Liam and Steffy’s secret and then pair that with some form of breakthrough bond with Thomas?

Thomas is truly a sympathetic figure at this point, as opposed to the scheming villain he’d been for a long period of time. Hope is just one of the people who will see him with new eyes. But will Noelle’s character also see into his heart and open hers toward this one-time overly aggressive pursuer?
