Shauna feels conflicted about the secret she and Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer) are keeping. Richards’ intriguing character is attempting to distract herself from the fragile reality that’s been created. But the new Mrs. Forrester could always take another tact if circumstances require it.

Going beyond the impulsive nature of what Ridge believes happened, Kaye’s character also appears to be moving toward acceptance. He’s definitely fond of Shauna and is open to seeing what comes of this so-called marriage. So, their dip in the pool at the mansion served as a form of honeymoon day event.

It’s possible that Ridge falls in love with Shauna. He likely will always love Brooke more, based on their history, the child they have together, and the deep emotional history between them.

However, Shauna’s sunny nature and perceived honesty is very appealing. She comes across as totally supportive and actually is, in that specific regard.

If Shauna has enough time it’s possible, or even probable, that she’ll form a solid bond with Ridge. That achieved status could also allow her to survive the explosion that happens when her husband learns the truth, or at least some of it.

Quinn might even agree to take the fall for Shauna, claiming that she was fully responsible, somehow, for texting Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) the divorce order. That scenario would need to be coupled with Shauna’s friend remaining onboard with how he allowed Shidge to marry, despite Ridge’s inebriated condition.

On the other hand, Shauna might panic if Ridge learns some of the truth. She could decide to tell him everything and hope he is willing to forgive her. Ridge could then convince himself that Quinn’s the most to blame, if he’s fallen hard for Shauna and doesn’t want to let his wife go.
