Zoe and Carter noted that Pam had also said that there was a spark igniting between the two of them, which they each said that they liked. Zoe took a moment to check her phone, and she said that she had been working lately on Zende Forrester Dominguez’s (Delon de Metz) designs from Pairs. Carter said that he was bummed when Zende left to work at Forrester International.
Talk turned back to Thomas, and Zoe made it clear that while she and Thomas were working together, there was no future for them. Carter said that he had a proposition for Zoe, who joked that most men don’t announce it when they are going to proposition a woman. “Not that kind of proposition,” Carter said. Carter explained that he was an old school about getting to know each other, which Zoe thought was sweet.
Carter thought that he and Zoe could have lunch together, and he admitted that he had already ordered the lunch, but that this shouldn’t sway her. Zoe and Carter had some cute moments together, and Zoe said that she guessed she’d have to suffer through lunch with him. Zoe and Carter smiled happily at each other.
At the cliff house, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) told Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that his reunion to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) didn’t last, and he told her about Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) showing up and all the fallout from that. Steffy was shocked to hear that Brooke told Bill that she’ll always love him, and Ridge said that he couldn’t accept it.
Steffy wondered where that left Ridge and Shauna Forrester (Denise Richards). “I just want to take a minute ad let things land where they land,” Ridge said. Ridge said that he just wanted someone who’s there for him and that perhaps Shauna’s that person. “She loves me,” Ridge said. “I’m sure Brooke does too, dad,” Steffy noted.
Later, after Ridge had gone, Steffy sat down to do some work at her laptop when she experienced more intense pain. After wincing and groaning in pain, Steffy took a pain pill.
At the Forrester mansion, Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) arrived to visit with Shauna and Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer). Flo wondered why Shauna wanted to see her, and Quinn blurted out, “At last, the tie between Brooke and Ridge is permanently severed!” Flo wondered what was going on, and Quinn gushed that Brooke and Ridge were kaput.
Off-screen, Flo learned the whole story, and she was happy for her mom. After Flo left, Quinn asked why Shauna wasn’t happier, and Shauna lamented about how Quinn coached her into filing Brooke and Ridge’s divorce papers. Shauna also wasn’t happy with how the drunken wedding happened, but Quinn said that Shauna shouldn’t fret about things she can’t change.
Quinn urged Shauna to come up with creative ways for Ridge to get past Brooke. Later, Ridge arrived home while Shauna was alone in the living room. Shauna said that she had missed Ridge, and Ridge filled Shauna in on going to see Steffy. Ridge suggested that they not talk about Brooke or Bill. Shauna said that was good with her, and that life as Ridge knew it was about to change. “You have a woman who puts you first and loves only you. That’s what you deserve,” Shauna said.
Meanwhile, over at Brooke’s place, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) was grilling Brooke about what happened to blow up her reunion with Ridge, when Bill walked right in the front door. “You can’t just walk in here, Bill,” Brooke insisted. “Well, I just did,” Bill said. Brooke said that Bill’s focus needed to be on Katie Logan (Heather Tom) right now, and Bill said that Katie ended it last night.
Donna reeled, and Brooke asked what happened. “I think we both know the answer to that, Brooke,” Bill said. Donna started squawking, and Brooke asked to speak with Bill alone. Donna was peeved, but she left, and Bill immediately asked Brooke if it was true that she and Ridge were over. Brooke didn’t really answer.
Bill said that Quinn had paid him a visit last night and was all smug, and Brooke revealed that she found Ridge and Shauna in Ridge’s bedroom. Brooke told Bill that Ridge had overheard their conversation, and Bill scoffed that Ridge’s knee-jerk reaction was to run to Shauna. “That’s the destiny you always love to talk about,” Bill grumped.
Brooke said that she had to take some responsibility because this all started with the kiss, but Bill blasted Ridge, saying that he didn’t have to run off and marry Shauna. Brooke excused Ridge by saying that he was drunk, and Bill thought that was convenient. “There’s a reason for all this – us,” Bill said. “I love you Brooke, and I don’t care who hears it.”
Brooke protested, but Bill continued to press the issue. “Get back on your stallion and ride back to the future with me – to the incredible life we shared, and never let it go again. Just say one word, Brooke – yes.”
