Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actress Kiara Barnes says that she’s ready for this next chapter in her character’s life. She said, “At this point, some time has passed by Thomas did manipulate their entire relationship so coming out of that, she is a little guarded. However, Zoe is still a hopeless romantic. She loves a love story, so she’s hopeful but guarded.”

What’s more, Carter has been a very good friend who has lent more than just his support for Zoe. Kiara continued, “After everything came out about Thomas and she saw his true colors, Carter was right there for her. He didn’t say, ‘I told you so.’ He was just there for her, and that stood out. It’s like, ‘Wow. He doesn’t need validation. He’s just a good guy.’”
