Brooke’s reaction to Ridge was totally understandable. Lang’s character believed that she was still his wife, as neither party filed the divorce papers Ridge had prepared and they both completed months ago.

The confusion in Brooke’s mind is just, as she’s right. Neither she nor Ridge filed for divorce. But Ridge has been led to believe that he authorized Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to do so. Viewers know that part of the plot isn’t true.

Quinn developed a plan that had Shauna take Ridge’s smartphone and send texts to Carter. That triggered the divorce paperwork filing and the wedding chapel vows.

B&B Spoilers – Shauna Forrester Is A Threat

Shauna was accurately tagged as a threat. Brooke knew, based on past experience with Ridge, that Richards’ character was more than just an admirer.

Quinn Fuller Forrester’s (Rena Sofer) specific connection to Shauna is the reason why Shauna was able to advance her hopes of being with Ridge to actually gaining his last name. Brooke was forced to be wise to Quinn’s goals based on the heated verbal confrontations they had.

Shauna’s current concerns will grow as Brooke intensely questions the curious circumstances surrounding the sudden marriage that unexpectedly produced Shidge.

Whether Ridge will split from Shauna by the time the truth is out is a different consideration. Part of Brooke’s unease these past many months involved her realization that Ridge developed feelings for Shauna. So, it’s possible that the Vegas caper may have created a bond that lasts longer than anticipated even when the truth is known.
