CBS The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that the CBS soap has gone old school storytelling with a ghoulishly juicy plot in Los Angeles just in time for Halloween. Who doesn’t love a terrifying, talking doll that just won’t shut up?

In this case, the terrorized party isn’t all that innocent so it could be a matter of just desserts being played out in the case of Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and his incredibly lifelike Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) mannequin.

Spooky is the word to describe Thomas and his new toy, and time will tell if it will become his fascination and his undoing. Here are three reasons to love this deliciously demented plot.

#1 Thomas Forrester Needs A Dose Of His Own Medicine

Let’s face it, Thomas has been a bad boy. He has a Hope fixation that has made him do some very unsavory things. This includes gaslighting his own son and worse yet offering him up on a silver platter in return for sex with Hope.

Thomas must be made to pay for his horrible actions if he has a proper place on the canvas. Among his actions were leading Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) on and dumping her at the altar in front of family and friends when it looked like Hope was willing to marry him. Will the demented doll exact revenge?

#2 Thomas Forrester And His Doll Are A Quirky Homage To The Sign Of The Mannequin Times

Because of the COVID safety restrictions, the show is using mannequins to fill in as a set of real-life tips for cozy scenes. The announcement initially brought about ribbing over the drastic measure and maybe the show is getting in on the fun? Why not, we all have to laugh right now or we would be crying a river.

#3 Thomas Forrester is finally redeemed via an inanimate object?

This kooky Hope doll is “talking” to Thomas and it is hilarious: “I don’t want to go back in the box. I want to stay with you.”

It’s just a matter of time before it instructs him to do something really strange and dangerous and that’s the point at which Thomas can finally be redeemed. What if Thomas rebels against her Hope-ness and decides to do the right thing and ‘fess up about his strange encounter? Maybe then Thomas can get the help he obviously needs and his family will see that he is trying to walk the straight and narrow.
