Royal Family News: Queen Elizabeth And Prince Philip Have Found Lost Happiness During COVID-19

British royal family news reveals that Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip have, “rediscovered the happiness of their early years together,” as the coronavirus pandemic has gripped the world.

The monarch is 94-years old and the Duke of Edinburgh is 99-years old. Both are isolating together at Windsor Castle as England goes into a second national lockdown as infection numbers skyrocket. Previously they had isolated together at Sandringham during the first lockdown.

Elizabeth and Philip have used the Covid-19 crisis to rediscover their close bond a royal expert has claimed
According to royal watcher Katie Nicholl, the past few months of close proximity has translated into the pair finding that they, “really enjoyed” spending more time together.

She told 9Honey, “I remember speaking to a very well-placed source at the time who said while the Queen was, like the rest of the country, was very down about the pandemic and not being able to work [as usual] and being in lockdown, the real upside for her was the time that she got to spend with Philip.”

It has been claimed that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip “rediscovered the happiness of their early years together”

The Queen kept up her workload via virtual appearances, but that meant her travel time was eliminated and on top of that she was unable to receive guests due to the lockdown protocols. All of this led to what Katie describes as the two spending, “a lot more time,” with each other.

It has been claimed that the couple have spent more time with each other in the past seven months since COVID-19 overtook the world, than they have since their honeymoon period. In their early married years they lived in Malta, in a simple villa, from 1949 to 1951. The Queen has said that it is the only time in her life that she lived “normally.”

Katie added that, “While some couples may have found that intensity of being together stretching or testing, they clearly got on very well… they really enjoyed that time together.”

Her comments come on the heels of the pair celebrating their 73rd wedding anniversary. To mark the occasion they released an official photo of themselves at home on a sofa, looking at a colorful card sent to them by their grandchildren, Louis, George and Charlotte.
