Royal Family News: Prince Philip Sympathetic To Meghan Markle Until She Burned Every Royal Bridge She Crossed

British royal family news reveals the shocking news that America’s own Meghan Markle, Thee Duchess of Sussex, actually had a friend in high places prior to her Megxit bomb explosion. When she and her London born husband Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, we’re ensconced in the palace elder statesman Prince Philip actually felt sympathetic toward the actress.

But in the end, she burned that bridge because for Philip he values loyalty and duty above all else. Meghan and Harry’s greedy lust for “financial freedom,” was a completely foreign concept to him, one he could not get behind.

Prince Philip Saw Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Royal Exit As Damaging To The Monarchy

Royal expert Ingrid Seward has written, “Prince Philip Revealed: A Biography,” and in it, she sheds light on the man for whom the duty was a lifestyle, not a whim.

“Philip had a great deal of sympathy with Meghan,” Seward told Fox News. “And I think that because Philip himself was an outsider when he married Princess Elizabeth. He was treated appallingly by the courtiers, but that was in 1947.

She added, “I think that Philip really understood that Meghan was going to find royal life difficult. And he was supportive of her. But at his great age, there was a limit to how involved he wanted to be. At that age, you just don’t have the energy and the drive to interfere too much with your grandchildren’s lives.”

He Was Once A Royal Outsider And Prince Philip Could Have Made A Major Difference If Meghan Markle Had Listened To Him

The world will never know the outcome if Philip had exercised more concern and taken a greater role in Harry’s life. Instead, in January the Duke and Duchess of Sussex unceremoniously announced that they were done with royal life and were more interested in making a fortune in North America. They claimed that their shocking and monarchy-rocking decision came, “after many months of reflection and internal discussions.”

No matter how long their rash decision took to hash out, its effect was swift and jaw-dropping. No one had ever so brazenly dumped the royal family and one’s country as Harry did.

Would Philip’s counsel have helped alter the trajectory of Megxit? According to Seward, “It all came as a huge shock. If Prince Philip would have been younger, he would have been more influential. He would have told Harry, ‘Are you sure you know what you’re doing? Do you know what you’re giving up? You cannot have one foot in the palace and the other foot out. You have to make a decision and I don’t want you to regret it.’”
