Royal Family News: Kate Middleton’s Mom Will Make Sure That George, Charlotte And Louis Have Christmas In Spite Of COVID

British royal family news reveals that denying children Christmas is like telling them there’s no Santa Claus—what travesty! And yet around the world Christmas this year has been cancelled, curtailed or embargoed which means the adults will simply have to get creative.

The UK royal family’s plans are still being worked out as the government is busy at working taking on the role of Scrooge in terms who can, and how many are allowed, to gather merrily for the holidays.

While the invites are up in the air, the palace has made it clear that Queen Elizabeth will not flaunt the rules, she will set a steady course and keep on. Right now only Prince Edward and his family have been guaranteed a spot at the table.

Where Does This Leave The Cambridge Family And Their Three Youngsters?

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will not go without the spirit of Christmas, as Kate Middleton’s mom Carole Middleton has stepped into the breach. According to grandma, her three grandkids will help decorate the Middleton family Christmas tree.

Despite COVID Christmas Will Take Place Across The Globe

Carole shared on Instagram that she is planning to let her grandchildren pick out the ornaments for the tree, and where they should go–in a most modern way—via video call.

She and her husband Michael run a party supply business called Party Pieces and she posted a festive pic of her surrounded by balloons on the business’s Insta account captioned: “We may not be able to get together but, after a year like 2020, we need to remember what’s really important this Christmas. For me, what really matters is that my family feels connected. I normally let my grandchildren help me decorate the tree. This year, I’ll ask them by video call to decide which decoration should go where. It may need to be tastefully rearranged later…!

She ended by saying, “For me, what really matters is that my family feels connected.”

Carole Middleton Is In The Festive Spirit Via Her Business Party Pieces

Carole told the Sunday Telegraph in 2018 that she buys several trees so that her grandkids can each have one of their own and, “decorate it themselves.” In addition, she said that they have one traditional tree and one that is covered in trinkets.

As to the government crackdown on the party spirit, a palace source said, “I don’t think Her Majesty has done anything since March which isn’t within all the appropriate guidelines so you can safely assume she will be taking into account all the appropriate advice.”
