Royal Family News: 4 Times The Royals Were Made To Apologize For Their Naughtiness

British royal family news teases that the royals are human like everybody else and that means they make their fair share of mistakes. Here are four times we have seen and heard a member of the British Royal family publicly apologize for their naughty actions.

#1 The Duchess Of Cambridge

This one is a bit of an apology by proxy as Kate Middleton’s husband Prince William once issued a mea culpa for Kate. What did she do? The occasion was the time she canceled a solo trip to Malta in 2014.

Actually, William did more than apologies for Kate, he gallantly took her place! William attended the Independence Day celebrations in Malta in her stead after she was unable to travel due to hyperemesis gravidarum, aka severe morning sickness, during her second pregnancy with Princess Charlotte.

#2 Sarah, Duchess Of York

Uh oh, in 2011 Sarah had to apologize for taking money from then alive convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. What did she do with the money? Apparently, she had to resort to taking the funds in order to pay off her debts.

At the time this is what she said to The Evening Standard: “I personally, on behalf of myself, deeply regret that Jeffrey Epstein became involved in any way with me. I abhor pedophilia and any sexual abuse of children and know that this was a gigantic error of judgment on my behalf. I am just so contrite I cannot say.”

Should we mention that her husband is currently wanted by the FBI for questioning over his involvement in the Epstein case?

#3 Prince Harry

Many think Prince Harry has tons of apologizing to do, starting with the awful he treated his family and country when he dropped his nasty Megxit bomb. Until then let’s look at a time Harry actually did make an apology.

It was in 2005 after he infamously attended a costume party in a Nazi uniform. The idiotic photograph of Harry was blasted worldwide when The Sun published it.

Actually, Harry himself did not apologize, Clarence House did it for him by announcing: “Prince Harry has apologized for any offense or embarrassment he has caused. He realizes it was a poor choice of costume.” Who exactly he apologized to, and why a grown man couldn’t apologize on his own behalf is not clear.

#4 The Duchess Of Cambridge

Ok, there was a time when Kate herself actually did issue an apology and it was to a toddler! During a visit to the Mumbles in south Wales earlier this year little three-year-old Annabel complained because she thought she was going to meet a “real life princess.”

Her embarrassed mom Rhian Costello then told Kate, “Annabel was really excited to meet a real princess,” and Annabel explained that she thought Kate would, “look like Cinderella,” to which gracious Kate replied, “I’m sorry I’m not wearing a pretty dress today.”
