Queen Elizabeth Is Back To Public Duty Despite Rising Coronavirus Cases In The UK

British Royal family news reveals Queen Elizabeth is done living the lockdown life. There are new reports that say the Queen is finally moving on with her work life as she appeared at her first royal engagement since the coronavirus lockdown began back in mid-March. Here’s what you need to know.

For Queen Elizabeth, it must have felt great to be back at work again because the monarch was smiling from ear to ear when she and her grandson, Prince William, headed to Salisbury, England to tour the Energetics Enclosure to learn about weaponry and tactics used in counterintelligence.

Making the most out of their trip, Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Cambridge also took a tour of the facility’s Energetics Analysis Centre and viewed a demonstration of a Forensic Explosives Investigation.

The Royal Family’s official Instagram account shared a few new photos of the tour and captioned the post with, “Her Majesty and His Royal Highness also spoke to scientists providing vital support to the U.K. response of the COVID-19 pandemic, working in analytic research areas and deploying microbiologists to NHS hospitals to increase testing capacities.”

Will The Queen Go Into Lockdown Again?

As many royal fans know, Queen Elizabeth has spent the most part of this year in quarantine at Windsor Castle with just a handful of her most trusted senior aides. Prince William and Kate Middleton, meanwhile, have been in quarantine with their family in Norfolk while Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles opted to stay indoors at their private estate in Balmoral Castle.

While the royal family has been doing more and more royal engagements and public appearances these last several months, there is some concern that the royals will have to scale back because of the rise of Covid-19 cases both in the UK and around Europe.

As of press time, London and other English cities are on high alert, as officials are tightening restrictions on business to help curb the spread of the coronavirus. So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments as to whether or not the Queen’s schedule will be altered because of the second coronavirus wave fears.
