Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will no longer be taking any comments, from both fans and critics, as they have decided to turn off the comments section on their SussexRoyal Instagram account.

Now that the couple are no longer considered full-time working royals, they have not only been forced to drop the ‘royal’ title but are also making some imminent changes to the way they communicate across their different digital platforms. Here’s what you need to know.

According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are looking to start the next phase of their lives together, but before that happens they have to do some clean up over at their Royal Sussex Instagram account. One of the reasons why they’ve decided to turn off the comments section is because the account will transition into something of an archive, according the couple’s spokesperson. Not only are they disabling the comments section, but also hiding previous comments from followers as well.

“Following today’s post, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will no longer post on Instagram under the @sussexroyal handle and will also no longer update SussexRoyal.com website,” the spokesperson explained. “Both the Instagram account and website will remain in existence online for the foreseeable future, although they will be inactive.”

In their last post dated March 31, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thanks the millions of fans who have engaged with them since they opened up their account back in 2018. In their comment, they wrote, “Thank you to this community – for the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the good in the world. We look forward to reconnecting with you soon. You’ve been great!”

Just recently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the move from Vancouver to Los Angeles, where they are hoping to settle down as a family with their almost one-year-old son, Archie Harrison.
