They say that a portrait can paint a picture worth a thousand words, and in the case of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’s wedding photo, royal critics and experts are going to be analyzing it for years to come. As a matter of fact, a body language expert says that Prince William and Prince Harry was ‘on edge’ during that day. Here’s what you need to know.

While it was definitely a joyous occasion for Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, William and Harry were apparently going through a rollercoaster of emotions so much so that it was showing in not only their plastered smile, but body language as well.

The wedding photo was taken at Clarence House and also included Camilla Parker-Bowles’ two children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes. But it’s the way William and Harry are posing and their stance that has body language expert Blanca Cobb wondering what they were really thinking during what appeared to be one of the most important days of their father’s life.

Prince Harry’s Social Distancing

According to Cosmopolitan, Cobb says that Harry looked rather uneasy about the entire situation. She said, “It seems odd that he wouldn’t be giving it his complete attention. Maybe something grabbed his attention, or maybe he just wasn’t into it and was just going through the motions,” adding that he looked as though he was “going through the motions.”

Cobb also noticed Prince William’s ‘social smile’ and that he looked noticeably stiffer and more plastered than his brother. But it was Harry’s body language that was sending out the most signals that day. Cobb added that Harry’s wide stance meant that he was still unsure about the wedding or that he wasn’t completely over the death of his mother, Princess Diana.

Needless to say, it was a day that no one will ever forget, for better or for worse. Luckily, both William and Harry have managed to maintain a respectful relationship with Camilla over the years.
