Kate Middleton’s Favorite Celebrity To Meet Revealed?

As the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has met with lots of important people and famous celebrities. But who among them is her most favorite encounter?

On Wednesday, Kate and Prince William talked with the kids at a northern England school via video call, which marks their first-ever full royal engagement amid the coronavirus pandemic. The royal couple chatted with the children of essential workers like health care personnel and emergency services staff. They’re staying at Casterton Primary Academy, in Burnley where they’re taught and taken care of.

Of course, the little ones were all excited to talk to them. They got tons of questions including who their favorite celebrities are.

“The kids also asked them what the best famous person was that they had met – something I bet they don’t get asked very often! The Duchess said that George has been watching lots of David Attenborough, Blue Planet and the like, so that would probably be hers,” Pendle Trust’s Chief Executive, Anita Ghidotti said.

Kate Middleton Meets Sir David Attenborough

The Duchess has met Attenborough a lot of times including the naming ceremony of the RRS Sir David Attenborough, U.K.’s new polar research ship in September 2019. On another occasion, Kate and Attenborough collaborated for the reopening of Hintze Hall at the Natural History Museum in July 2017.

But their first encounter was back at the Natural History Museum Alive 3D premiere back in 2013. During this event, all the guests including Kate watched his documentary while wearing 3D glasses.

Since then, Kate had the opportunity to meet the historian on various occasions. These include the Dramatic Arts event at Buckingham Palace in February 2014 and the Wildlife Photographer of The Year in 2014.

The kids made some arts and crafts for Easter and they showed them off to the Royal couple. Plus, they wore cute bunny ears that pleased both Kate and Prince William.

“Well done, honestly, to you and everyone who’s in during this time. It must be such a relief for all the parents who are key workers to know that the normality is there for their children — they’ve got the structure and they’ve got a safe place for them to be, so really really well done to all of you,” Kate said.

“We just want to say a huge thank you to you guys and well done in keeping it all going. Please pass on many messages of support for all the staff and all the volunteers — they’re doing a great job,” Prince William added.
