In a recent People article Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty, calls Sophie, “a royal key worker. She is making a difference in a very understated, very ‘Sophie’ way.”

Sophie grew up in a middle-class family and became a royal family after marrying Prince Edward in 1999. Prior to that, she worked as a public relations professional so no doubt she knows a thing or two about the proper way to present oneself publicly for maximum benefit.

Peregrine Armstrong-Jones, of Bentley’s Entertainment, told People that with Sophie, “There’s no fanfare.”

She reportedly has been helping caterers and party planners to organize meals for National Health Service staff and Armstrong-Jones says, “These are private visits done in her own private time. When she leaves our kitchens, she generally then goes on to do more projects in different hospitals.”

The Queen regularly asks Sophie to join her for the church at Sandringham and invites Sophie’s widowed father Christopher to Balmoral Castle in the summer.
