General Hospital Spoilers: Why Billy Miller Needs To Return To GH Now!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates reveal GH has recently seen a lot of characters leave the canvas. Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson), Dev Corbin (Ashton Arbab), and Lulu Falconeri (Emmy Rylan) were all caught in the explosion at the Floating Rib. Dustin and Dev both died from injuries in the explosion. Lulu is still alive but suffered a severe brain injury that took her out of town to a long-term care facility. Julian Jerome (William DeVry) who planted the bomb, is also on his way out. But even with all these exits, there is one character that is sorely needed. And that’s Drew Cain (Billy Miller). Why is Drew needed so badly? Let’s take a look.

Franco Baldwin Needs A Friend

Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) believed himself to be Drew for a while thanks to the memory mapping. He eventually regained his own memories, but during the time that Franco believed himself to be Drew, Drew’s plane went down, leaving him presumed dead. Although Franco and Drew didn’t get along in the beginning, they eventually formed a brotherly bond. Now that Franco’s brain tumor has returned, he desperately needs all the support he can get. And Drew would be there not only for Franco but for Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and the kids.

Scout Needs A Father

Drew has a young daughter with Samantha McCall (Kelly Monaco). The young girl is still too understand that her father isn’t around anymore. And Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) maybe Drew’s twin, but they couldn’t be any more different. Jason will never leave the mob. And although Sam has recently broken up with Jason, he’s too wrapped up in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Bernard) world to ever be the father that Scout will need as she grows up.

Sam Morgan Needs A Man

As noted above, Sam recently broke up with Jason. Living in constant danger may have worked when it was just Sam and Jason. But now there are children involved and Sam doesn’t want them to grow up with the mob life and all the dangers that go along with it. When Jason was presumed dead, Sam made a life outside of the mob with Drew. She’s obviously still longing for Jason, but she needs a man who can provide a life away from all the danger. Sam knows Drew can provide a safer lifestyle for her and her family. And at least at some point, Sam truly loved Drew. It would be easy for these two to reconnect.
