General Hospital spoilers reveal that something sinister is afoot in Port Charles and the mystery is a terrific whodunit. No, no one was killed, but painting was defaced and it could mean that a killer is on the loose—again.

Fans were aghast to see that Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) portrait was “altered” in a most horrific way, now the question is who did it and why?

There has been much speculation as to the perpetrator, but all of that has been temporarily swept under the rug while the Nurses Ball is underway. When the ball is over however, thoughts will once again turn back to the painting and there will be a search for answers as to who would want to ruin a perfectly good painting.

When it comes to suspects, there is no shortage! Ava is not exactly a town darling, and there are many people who don’t think much of the former job stress turned art gallery owner.

Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) painted her portrait, and some think he was behind the ruination. There are other suspects though, namely Ava’s husband in name only, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Some think that Ava herself did the honors. But that makes no sense. She was once scarred for real, and that was a horrifying experience for her. It’s hard to believe that she would purposely disfigure herself even if it is only on canvas.

Nikolas is cruel but he is not heartless, so it is not likely that he would have defaced the painting. But what about Franco? He had access to the picture.

It was found that Franco’s bad behavior was due to a brain tumor. Could it be that he once again has a behavior-altering tumor in his brain?
