General Hospital Spoilers: Possible Connection Between Brando And Renault – Are They Working Together?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the mob wars are heating up in Port Charles. With most characters, it’s fairly easy to know which side they are on, but there is one newcomer in particular whose loyalty may not be what it seems? Just whose side is Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) on?

GH Spoilers: Brando came out of nowhere!

Brando almost literally came out of nowhere. When Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Bernard) coffeehouse was under siege from gunfire, Brando suddenly appeared to help get Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) out of harm’s way. He even took a bullet for his trouble. It wasn’t life threatening but it did manage to bring Brando into Sonny and Carly’s lives. He explained that he was there to let Sonny know that Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) wasn’t his son.

Of course Sonny already knew that Dev’s parentage was faked since he was behind it. He had to explain to his distant cousin that Dev’s identity as a Corbin was manufactured to create an identity for Dev that would allow him to live in the United States. Dev had previously helped Sonny out when Sonny was in Turkey to rescue his son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zomprogna). Sonny was grateful, and Dev made his way to the States, he sought Sonny’s help. So Sonny had his people create an identity, as the presumed dead Brando’s son! Brando’s mother, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has told Sonny that Brando was dead, but she lied. They had a falling out years ago, and so is Glady’s mind, Brando was dead to her.

Brando has agreed to go along with the ruse

Brando agreed to keep Dev’s identity a secret and has made him useful around the Corinthos family. But is all of that an act to get on Sonny’s good side? It’s possible Brando showing up is all part of Cyrus Renault’s scheme to over Sonny’s territory. Brando could be a mole secretly working for Cyrus. If that’s true, then Sonny has a traitor in his midst and this could lead danger for anyone close to Sonny!
