General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) drastic measures are probably far from over. As GH viewers know, he was really touched when Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) revealed to him that she had obfuscated the evidence connecting Peter to the gunman who tried to kill Andre Maddox (Anthony Washington) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) during the memory reversal procedure. Anna explained to Peter all about how she held on to the records showing that Peter and the gunman used to work at the same facility.
The two then shared a touching mother/son conversation, during which Anna vowed to protect her son. Interestingly, during that conversation, she also revealed that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) had come to her asking pointed questions about Peter and suspecting that Peter was responsible for a lot of wrongdoing – from the original memory transfer to Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) disappearance to deliberately shooting the OR gunman.
Well, Anna certainly has her doubts about Peter, but she’s seriously in denial about it, and she’s determined to protect Peter at all costs. She even told Peter that if Jason came at him, then he’d have to go through her to do so. Peter assumes that he might not be safe with Jason gunning for him, and he of course has good reason to think that could be the case.
But what about Jason’s safety here? Now that Peter knows that Jason is onto him, will Jason be at risk because of Peter? It seems that Peter’s first instinct is to take out anyone who poses a threat to his new life and his relationship with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). After all, Peter didn’t hesitate to remove Drew from society, presumably by killing him, and he shot the OR gunman in cold blood in order to cover his tracks.
Peter doesn’t seem reformed by any means, even though he did change his mind about killing Andre and Franco. And if Peter gives it a little critical thought, he’ll probably realize that Jason will have some help in investigating him and trying to bring him down. Will Peter eventually get wind of the fact that Jason and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) are working with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers)? That could put Sam and/or Robert in danger, too.
And since Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) is back in town and will be cozying up to Peter in order to get access to his laptop, Peter might start to suspect that something’s going on. This could put Spinelli in danger, too. And we can’t forget about Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), either. According to GH spoilers, he’ll soon provide Sam and Jason some critical information on Peter, which could be the evidence that Anna hid from the police.
There will be a lot of people working against Peter behind the scenes in the coming days, but since Peter’s a pretty sharp person, we’d say that the chances of him catching on that something’s up are pretty good – especially if Robert somehow gets hold of the evidence that Anna worked so hard to hide. And once Peter realizes that there’s an undercurrent working against him, he’s liable to strike back and try to eliminate the threat.
That means that Jason, Sam, Spinelli, Finn, or even Robert could wind up being a target for Peter, depending on how things go down. Who do you think is most likely to be Peter’s next victim?
