General Hospital Spoilers: Maxie Jones Is Feeling Very Under-appreciated By Nina Reeves

While Nina was off work, Maxie had handled the Crimson Magazine accounts, the magazine itself, and all the photography and the models for the photo shoots, and basically running things on her own and making improvements! But Nina doesn’t seem to appreciate or even notice her talent for running Crimson and doesn’t seem to trust her judgment.

She recently turned down a deal with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) for Deception ll and it was simply because of personal reasons – Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) took a deal, and a portion of profits, to be Lucy’s model, as General Hospital viewers will recall. She later talked about her feelings with both Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) who had come to town with Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) in tow, and her current boyfriend, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and both supported her wholeheartedly even if she started her own magazine, as Maxie has been thinking of doing for a while now, but hasn’t moved on it yet!

Maxie tries to explain her job dissatisfaction to Nina, but she doesn’t seem to get it. She pays Maxie an excellent salary and Nina feels like Maxie has enough duties the way it is – she doesn’t want to give her so much work that she cannot properly care for her son, James West (Owen and Curtis Rufca) and her daughter with Spinelli, Georgie, now that he and Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson) may be relocating closer to Port Charles.

Maxie may be able to share an informal custody arrangement with Spinelli and Ellie where Georgie can get to know her little brother with them living much closer soon, if Ellie’s job offer works out.

GH Spoilers: Maxie Jones Doesn’t Like That Nina Reeves Doesn’t Trust Her Judgment

Maxie is not just upset about the amount of responsibility. She has proven she can run Crimson on her own, if necessary, and she doesn’t like that Nina doesn’t trust her judgment. She told her the day that she turned down the Deception ll deal that she lost out on an outstanding opportunity, an opportunity that would have been a huge money maker for Crimson! It seems like Nina doesn’t believe in Maxie, and that hurts!

Nina doesn’t want to mentor Maxie whatsoever at all in her career, and Maxie feels stuck where she is with no opportunity for growth at Crimson anymore! Yes, it was Nina who pulled Crimson out of the depths of financial instability, when Julian Jerome (William DeVry) was running it and hired her under his pseudonym of “Derek Wells” and figured he’d use it as a tax write-off and get rid of it, but Nina made Crimson a superstar! Maybe Nina feels a little threatened by Maxie’s potential success!
