General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Falls Hard For Willow After Faux Wedding – True Love Blossoms

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) only married Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) for the sake of expedience. He believed his ditz of an attorney that marrying a lily-white, “sinless” woman would bake the cake and put the icing on it in terms of securing a victory over the nefarious Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier). However, Michael’s made it clear he isn’t in love with Willow. Now GH fans are asking whether that could change as time goes on.

General Hospital Spoilers – Michael’s Heart Might Not Change

At this point, GH fans ought to realize that Michael’s motivations for marrying Willow Tait had nothing to do with love. Instead, Michael based his marriage to Willow on practical, financial, and political motives. In terms of practicality, Michael believes that since Willow already loves Wiley Cooper-Jones (Erik and Theo Olson), she’ll make a good mother.

Michael can scratch worrying about having a positive, motherly influence in Wiley’s life off his list. Financially, Michael won’t have to worry about having to pay Nelle Benson any kind of child support, and hey … his personal taxes will fare better as a married man too. Politically, being married to Willow only enhances Michael’s image as an upstanding pillar of Port Charles’s society.

Even noting all those benefits, however … GH fans might agree that Michael would have exactly the same advantages if he’d married Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), whom he actually loved. That’s despite the idiocy dished his way by Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy).

The sad thing, especially for Willow, is the fact that time doesn’t always draw people’s hearts together even when they have shared life goals. Michael may respect Willow, admire Willow, even come to have affection for Willow … but true love from the heart may still escape him.

General Hospital Spoilers – Michael Pushes Willow Away

Some believe that if Michael has anything resembling honor, and especially if someone like … say … Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) tells him the truth concerning Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Sasha’s fake affair, he’ll push Willow for a swift annulment. If Michael learns the truth, he could actually stop being a bore, start having a spine, and start setting things all to right.

How awesome would it be if Michael talked Willow into leaving him, and at the same time gave her permanent and shared parental rights over Wiley? How grown up would Michael finally be if he were to go to Chase, make peace with him, and suggest that Chase and Willow walk down the aisle? Heck, Michael might offer to be Chase’s best man! And then, finally … whether Michael chose to go back to Sasha or not, he would be a man making his own decisions for his own romantic future.

Many GH fans would literally die to see something like that happen. People don’t hate Michael. They just feel Michael’s an easily manipulated, spoiled brat who can’t do a thing without his mommy’s say so. And, yet here is Michael, the youngest CEO of a major corporation in America’s history. (Major eye roll.)

It’s time for Michael to grow up and heal all the stupidity that has arisen around the Wiley drama.

General Hospital Spoilers – Michael Succumbs to Pressure

Sadly, Michael may not be that man. Michael may continue to be General Hospital’s basic bitch. He may continue on being manipulated by Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and every other woman that enters his life (except Willow, she’s too zombified to manipulate anyone). However, if some get what they want, Michael will end up married to Willow forever, with a counterfeit passion, the illusion of happiness, and the ghost of what might have been living somewhere in the back of his mind.
