General Hospital star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) recently performed an intimate wedding ceremony. His daughter, Cailey married the man she loves, Carlos. Due to the pandemic, there are social distancing measures in place. This includes events like weddings. It’s a bit difficult to have a traditional wedding with family and friends when you have to stay six feet apart!

However, people are getting creative and using modern technology to make life seem as normal as possible during these uncertain times.

On Instagram, Benard revealed that his daughter just got married. However, there was an unexpected surprise in store for his followers. He actually officiated the nuptials! That’s right, the proud papa not only gave his daughter away but married Cailey and Carlos in an intimate ceremony.

“Never in my life did I think I’d marry anyone especially one of my daughters marrying Cailey and Carlos was an honor and a privilege also incredibly sweet♥️”

Based on the video, everyone looks so happy and thrilled. Plus, the bride looked so elegant and beautiful in her dress.

Zoom Weddings On The Rise

The General Hospital star might have officiated the wedding, but others were able to watch thanks to Zoom. Employers and schools are using video conferencing software to communicate with staff, clients, customers, and teachers are even communicating with students and parents.

That’s not all, though. Zoom is also being used for big events without breaking the social distancing rules, such as weddings.
