General Hospital Spoilers: Laura More Determined Than Ever Before To Clean Up Waterfront

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) second year of mayor is starting out on a dangerous note! As viewers know, Laura was recently shot on one of the very Piers she was hoping to renovate. She was meeting with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to discuss ELQ’s involvement in the renovations when shots rang out!

General Hospital Spoilers: Laura should recover

Laura should make a full recovery but look for her to become more determined than ever to clean up the waterfront district! She knows full well that this could bring conflict to her long standing friendship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) but getting shot just proves her point that changes need to be made.

GH Spoilers: Michael wanted to start slow

Michael asked if perhaps they could start with the Piers that Sonny isn’t currently using to conduct business, but Laura argued that unless the entire area is upgraded, than the criminal element will still have a strong presence in the area and she wants the docks to be safe for families, and for parents to be able to bring their children there without worry.

Sonny will oppose this

Friendship or not, Sonny needs those docks to conduct business. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to Laura’s proposal. Sonny is currently under attack from unknown parties, and giving in to Laura might be seen a show or weakness. Sonny’s rivals will also likely have vested interest in keeping the waterfront the way it is. So more danger could be heading Laura’s way. But Laura is no stranger to danger, and so look for her to remain steady in her goals, despite the possible harm.

General Hospital Spoilers: Not going to back down

But Laura isn’t likely to back down. She has a vision for Port Charles. It’s not going to be easy getting there and friendships may have to end for it to happen, but look Laura keep moving forward to make Port Charles a safer place! Laura will likely receive the support of her constituents.

What will happen?

Will Laura recover from her injuries? Will she give up on making the waterfront safe or become more determined than ever? Will this put her in conflict with Sonny and possibly his enemies?
