General Hospital Spoilers: Is Nikolas Still Married To Hayden? How Will Ava React?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers that Ava Jerome (Maura West) made a deal with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Ava would hand over the codicil to Nikolas and in return it looks like Nikolas agreed to marry Ava. But the joke may be on Ava, as at least very recently, Nikolas was still legally married to Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig).

Off screen divorce?

Unless Nikolas and Hayden had a quickie off screen divorce during the time Nikolas disappeared last week, Nikolas and Hayden are still legally married. They two of them made a point of mentioning when Nikolas first returned to town. Ava surely doesn’t know this. She most likely married Nikolas to get half of the Cassadine fortune.

Nikolas has already tormented Ava

As Laura Collins tried to point out to Ava, Nikolas’ behavior toward Ava has been awful. He haunted her, pretending to be dead. He told her that her daughter, Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin), was being tormented in the afterlife. He did all of this for his own selfish needs. So it’s quite likely that he is marrying Ava illegally and that the marriage in invalid.

Doesn’t anyone remember

It is a bit surprising that no one has reminded Ava that Nikolas was married at the time of his presumed death. Surely Laura of all people, would have said something about it when she was trying to get Ava not to go through with it. Then again, perhaps Nikolas met up with Hayden and they had a quickie divorce. This seems unlikely however. Between the situation with Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) and Nikolas, Hayden’s return seems like a sure thing at some point.

What will happen?
