General Hospital Spoilers: GH Alum Sean Blakemore Shares Wonderful News With His Fans!

General Hospital alum, Sean Blakemore just made an interesting announcement. He is returning to OWN’s Greenleaf. Blakemore wrote, “Season 5! Tuesday, June 23 9/8c YEAH..it’s going down #philldemars #isitlove or? #dontmissit #familymadness”.

Greenleaf is a hit primetime series which premiered on OWN in June 2016. The series is set for its fifth season which is scheduled to premiere on June 23, 2020. It is an American television drama series which was created by Craig Wright and executive produced by Oprah Winfrey and Lionsgate Television. It stars Lynn Whitfield, Keith David, and Merle Dandridge.

General Hospital Spoilers – The Series

The series follows the unscrupulous world of the Greenleaf family. It is filled with scandalous secrets and lies. The palatial family mansion compound and their sprawling Memphis megachurch is also a part of the premise. The series’ leads are Bishop James Greenleaf and Lady Mae Greenleaf who are the patriarch and matriarch of the family. Grace Greenleaf, their daughter returned home 20 years after the mysterious death of her sister, Faith.

Blakemore plays the character of Phil Demars who was introduced in 2018 in season four. While there is still more to learn about Phil, his character is certainly more than meets the eye. We are excited to see what is on the table for him and hope he sticks around for future seasons of the hit primetime drama. Look for the character to be back for some more drama in the upcoming season five hitting the airwaves at the latter part of June this year.

GH Spoilers – The Big Question

The big question remains, will his character be fleshed out fully in season 5? We want to know as well. The best way to find out is to actually tune in to see how the story unfolds when the show returns. Like all other dramas on OWN, the drama will be on point. We expect nothing less.

Blakemore is credit with a number of soap operas including The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives, and General Hospital. He is probably best known for his role as Shawn Butler on GH for which he also earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination. He briefly played the roles of Ben on Y&R and Peter/Barney Bateman on DAYS. He has a number of projects on the horizon including a couple of films and a couple of series role.
