General Hospital Spoilers: Does Alexis Deserve to Get Her Law License Back – Time For A New Career

General Hospital (GH) spoilers revealed that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) could decide to forego a fight to get her license to practice law back. GH fans know that this could be due to a rekindled romance with (former) Dr. Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan).

General Hospital Spoilers – Neil Is More Important Than Law

When it comes to Alexis, many GH viewers are asking themselves whether she’s going to go all out to get Neil back into her life, or if she’s going to focus on regaining her law career. Those who have been watching General Hospital for some time know that Alexis lost her law license once before and was able to get it back. Back then, however, Alexis wasn’t dealing with her intense desire for a relationship that actually works. Everyone knows that Alexis is head over heels in love with Neil, and many think it’s simply time for her to hang up her hat and finally do something that will make her happy!

Viewers might also recall that Alexis’s own daughter, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) took her to task for not standing up for, for not fighting for, what she really wants. Sam asked Alexis if she loved Neil, if Neil made her feel alive, if Neil made her feel like life was worth living … and Alexis’s reply to all of those questions was an enthusiastic “yes!”

ABC General Hospital Updates & Spoilers – Alexis and Neil Were Meant to Be

Many GH fans might agree that when things are right with a relationship, everything is magic. When it comes to Neil and Alexis, it’s been like the entire universe has conspired to put them together. Fans might remember that Alexis kept on “bumping into” Neil at the most unlikely of times and in the most unlikely of places. Totally unplanned, Neil and Alexis found themselves at the same bingo game, at the same opera, and as everyone now knows … each successive meeting brought Neil and Alexis closer to the physical affair that destroyed their respective careers!

One thing many GH viewers have talked about is the fact that while Neil and Alexis maintained their careers, any time they spent together was furtive. That’s because Neil and Alexis had to continually hide the fact that they cared for one another. Their entire relationship went against the rules of ethics Alexis and Neil were bound to obey.

However, as Julian Jerome (William deVry) pointed out to Neil during a heated argument, now that Alexis and Neil no longer have to worry about their careers … they have no excuse not to pursue their feelings for one another. Only cowardice on Neil and Alexis’s parts could now keep them separated!

Who knows what kind of options for employment Neil and Alexis might have without their careers on General Hospital. It’s worth remembering though that Alexis comes from the Cassadine family. Many GH fans believe she might have some kind of inheritance locked up in some off-shore account somewhere. Alexis might not be hurting for cash in such a circumstance. As for Neil, he’s been a doctor for a long time. Who knows if Neil was smart with his money over the course of his career, but his financial situation might be decent enough that he could go ahead and retire if he wanted to.
