General Hospital Spoilers: Diane’s Intervention Fails – Alexis Humiliated And Drinking Again

General Hospital spoilers tease that a helpful ploy could backfire leaving one lady drowning her sorrows. Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) was trying to be helpful when she staged an “intervention” for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

Alexis had fallen off the wagon and she wanted her to receive all the help and support she could get.

Diane brought Alexis and her daughter Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) together and once the three got to talking a whole lotta truth spilled out—more than Sam or Diane was ready to hear.

Alexis was left emotionally exposed, having bared her soul to the women. She told them about the amazingly cray things she had done prior to taking a drink and in the end, she may not be able to handle facing all that she has wrought.

Alexis is in recovery but she took a drink after a fight with Sam leaving Sam to think that she was the reason for her mom’s fall. That wasn’t the case, Alexis had been doing a whole lot of shaking before that, with Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan).

These two got their flirt on at the opera then slept together. Which should not have been a big deal, except that it was.

GH Spoilers – Alexis Davis And Dr. Neil Bryne Are Not Supposed To Be Romantically Involved

Alexis and Neil were once therapist and patient, making any romantic relationship taboo until two years passed. Oopsie.

These two were attracted to each other, and someone saw them and ratted to the medical board.

Long story short, Neil and Alexis was called to testify about their “relationship.” Both perjured themselves by saying they were not involved.

Technically they’re not but they slept together the night before the hearing. Oopsie again.

As Alexis relayed all of this to a horrified Sam and incredulous Diane, her discomfort was obvious. Alexis’s troubles have not subsided as she and Neil have not resolved anything between them. Will she resort to drinking again to numb her pain?

It could be that Diane’s intervention was the worst thing that could have happened to Alexis as it brought up all of her issues and pain once again.

It would almost be shocking if a forlorn Alexis doesn’t turn back to booze to escape her troubles.
