General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus Accepts Sonny’s Take It Or Leave It Deal But Both Are Lying Through Their Teeth

General Hospital (GH) spoilers revealed that drug kingpin, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) agreed to abide by the terms of Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) “take it or leave it” deal. GH fans know that the two criminal bosses met to negotiate a peace. However, everyone’s expecting both Sonny and Cyrus to break the deal at any moment.

General Hospital Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Meets With Sonny Corinthos

GH fans know that Cyrus Renault got called away from the interview he was giving to Lulu Spencer-Falconeri (Emme Rylan) recently. Lulu had invited Cyrus to discuss his life, his time in Pentonville, how he was wrongly accused, and ultimately exonerated and Cyrus jumped at the chance to craft his own narrative. While in the midst of telling Lulu what an amazing, magnanimous man he was, and how he intended to be a benefactor to the city of Port Charles, Cyrus got a text from Sonny Corinthos.

Viewers know that not long before, Sonny and Cyrus had set up another meeting. However, Sonny’s right-hand man, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) canceled the meeting and rudely hung up on Cyrus without giving the man even a hint as to the reason why. This insulted Cyrus immensely and so it was with that insult in mind that Cyrus headed to the new meeting with Sonny.

GH Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Gets Belligerent

Some GH viewers were a bit put off by Sonny and Cyrus’s meeting. While Sonny had every right to be angry with Cyrus (and to hold a personal grudge), due to the fact that Cyrus targeted Sonny’s family in two separate assassination attempts, he still came off a bit like a small dog puffing up its chest and barking at a much larger hound.

Viewers watched Sonny throw every bit of politeness Cyrus exuded back in the criminal mastermind’s face. In fact, Sonny behaved like he was doing Cyrus a favor just by breathing the same air. Everyone watched as Sonny told Cyrus that he would be the one doing the speaking and by the end of their pretty one-sided conversation, Sonny offered Cyrus a “one time, take it or leave it deal.”

GH fans know that Cyrus agreed, but it rapidly became clear that neither he nor Sonny truly intended to abide by the terms of that agreement.

As things move forward, it looks like GH fans are going to see the heat on the streets of Port Charles. Both Sonny and Cyrus are proud men and saving face is a big deal to these GH criminals. Neither Sonny nor Cyrus is likely to back down or to give an inch to the other.

Should Sonny and Cyrus actually move past the point of simply plotting whom they plan to kill first and actually take action, viewers could see a lot of people get hurt as each man moves to take the other out. Something GH fans should take into consideration as well is the fact that Sonny may attempt to limit collateral damage and loss of life, while Cyrus Renault won’t care who gets hurt in his quest to establish roots in Port Charles!
