General Hospital spoilers tease that in Port Charles, NY Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will feel betrayed in an upcoming episode of GH. Will Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) tell him to stay out of the Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) case?
Curtis Really Doesn’t Like It When Jordan Strikes Out On Her Own
Curtis really doesn’t like it when Jordan strikes out on her own, although he knows he’s a civilian when it comes to police business. Jordan is the police commissioner; she’s really supposed to be assigning detectives to do the investigation instead of doing them herself! But he also knows that the takedown of Cyrus Renault is not a standard police investigation; it is much more.
Jordan is doing a lot of this sting on her own, with no one else at the PCPD having any clue what is going on. She has even involved Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) in gathering intel at General Hospital that might pertain to Cyrus. She’s also teamed up unofficially with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Curtis also knows how dangerous Renault is and how slippery. He doesn’t want to find out Jordan has been compromised or worse and wants to back her up.
No cop goes out on their own with no backup, but that is exactly what Jordan has been doing lately. She’s even acted like a double agent with one foot in the law and one foot outside the law. He realizes she is using her drug enforcement agency, or DEA training but he really feels betrayed when Jordan tells him she knows what she is doing and to stay out of the Renault case!
Curtis Can Think Of So Many Ways He Could Help Jordan
Curtis has years of investigative experience and at one time he also was a cop. He messed up his cop career by making the mistake of getting into drugs. But the way he sees it, that experience could help him take down Cyrus – although it would be difficult to do so in an undercover manner. Cyrus knows who he is and recognizes him! He could however do things like bugging Cyrus’ apartment or the pharmacy at General Hospital and the other places drugs are kept.
If he was able to catch GH or any part of it being used as a front to funnel drugs through, that would be valuable evidence. However, he’s much more invested in keeping an eye on his wife and making sure she doesn’t get made or get hurt! But Jordan keeps insisting on acting as a lone wolf! She doesn’t want any backup, and she doesn’t want any protection. She says Cyrus would be on to her if anyone else was following her and he or his minions saw it.
Jordan explains Cyrus has people EVERYWHERE who report back to him. If Curtis were to join her in this takedown or be even a part of it on the fringes, it would not be less dangerous, it would be more dangerous! Still, Curtis feels like Jordan thinks he doesn’t know what he is doing just because he has not been a “real cop” for many years! The fact that his wife doesn’t trust him to keep her safe without blowing her mission just plain hurts!
