General Hospital Recap Wednesday, January 29: Sonny takes Mike to NYC for help – Gunfire rings out in Port Charles

Welcome to your Wednesday January 29th General Hospital (GH) recap! We begin our day in NYC where Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) has brought his father Mike Corbin (Max Gail) for Alzheimer’s treatment. Suddenly gunfire rings out as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) yells for everyone to take cover.

On the docks in Port Charles, a gunman shoots at Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) , Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) are Gladys also caught in the gunfire and dive for cover.

Flashback TWO hours earlier – we see Mike Corbin (Max Gail) his son Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) arrive at a café in Brooklyn NY. They sit down to eat lunch as Mike flirts with the waitress.

GH Spoilers: Michael Corinthos Meets With His Sister Josslyn Jacks At The Pier

Micheal Corinthos (Chad Duell) meets with his sister Josslyn Jax (Eden McCoy) at the pier. She wonders what was so important they needed to meet right away and he tells her about Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) moving into the Quartermaine mansion.

Josslyn is furious that Michael is helping Nelle and is worried that she will kill him. Josslyn suggests that he instead takes Wiley away from Brad.

At the Metro Court restaurant, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) brags to her enemy Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) about being moved to the Quartermaine mansion. They argue back and forth as Carly threatens her to never mention Jonah’s name again.

Carly lays into Nelle and says the Quartermaine’s are going to treat her like the trash she is.

General Hospital Spoilers: Willow Tait And Sasha Gilmore Discuss Nelle Benson

Also, at the Metro Court, Willow Tait (Katelynn Mcmullen) is having a panic attack about Nelle being in town as Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) tries to calm her down. Willow is worried that Brad is not dependable anymore now that hes friends with Nelle again.

Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) picks up her daughter Charlotte from the Crimson Magazine office. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jasper Jax (Ingo Rademacher) say Charlotte is an art director in the making.

Nina tells Lulu that keeping Valentin away from Charlotte completely may not be such a good idea. As Lulu gets Charlotte ready to leave, she sees the magazine of Sasha all cut up. She lies and says that Nina did it.

GH Spoilers: Ava Jerome and Nikolas Cassadine Discuss Spencer

In the private Cassadine jet, Ava Jerome (Maura West) reiterates to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) how lucky he is to have a son and that Spencer is alive. Nikolas laments how he has treated Spencer over the years as Ava chimes in about her selfish acts in regards to Kiki.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is released from jail and chats with his lawyer Martin Gray (Michael E Knight) about next steps. Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) shows up and lays out all the bad things that Valentin has done.

Laura reiterates that Valentin tried to kill Ava and should be denied bail.

Sonny is worried that this is his last chance to help Mike as Jason wishes he could of helped his father Alan while he was still alive. Jason says hes glad they are meeting with all the five families while visiting NYC.

General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday Danger!

Laura shows up at the pier to see Michael and lays out her plans for the docks – gardens, restaurants, and shops.

Lulu and Valentin face off at the courthouse about custody of Charlotte, she wants a restraining order.
Nina and Jax drink wine, eat cheese, and eventually kiss.

At the pier, the gunfire erupts as Laura, Carly, Gladys, Michael, Sasha and Josslyn dodge bullets. We see both Carly and Laura collapse…………..flash to preview
